Medical Logistics
USAMMA’s main services encompass lifecycle and operational support for medical materiel. USAMMA's Force Projection Directorate (FPD) provides medical logistics situational awareness, customer support, centralized program management, materiel planning, programming, and execution to ensure medical materiel is available to support Army operations and the security assistance program for medical materiel. The Force Sustainment Directorate (FSD) has principal responsibility in the domain of national-level Army medical force management and integration. Specifically, the FSD is responsible for the wholesale procurement, production, fielding, sustainment, recovery of medical Sets Kits and Outfits (SKOs), individual medical equipment items for the Army’s medical force, as well as nonmedical units with medical requirements (Active, Reserve, and National Guard Components). This includes the building, distributing, and fielding of medical assemblages and equipment, fielding of medical assemblages, operational support of the Army medical units, management of actions relating to assembly of sets, fielding, and follow-on logistics support for medical systems and equipment to ensure combat ready forces in peacetime and during times of conflict.
