  • Constituted 21 December 1928 as 6th Medical Supply Depot at Ft. Sam Houston, TX
     
  • Activated 25 May 1942 for service in WW II
     
  • Served as the only Medical Supply Activity for the first 13 months of the Korean War beginning September 1950
     
  • Relocated from Yongsan to Camp Carroll 1988 as the 6th MEDSOM
     
  • Re-organized as the 16th Medical Logistics Battalion on 16 September 1993
     
  • Re-organized as the U.S. Medical Materiel Center - Korea on 16 October 2009
     
  • Re-aligned under U.S. Army Medical Logistics Command as a direct-reporting unit 17 September 2019
