George Takacs, a biomedical equipment technician with the U.S. Army Medical Materiel Agency, works on a field aspirator Nov. 2 while on a temporary duty, or TDY, assignment to Army Prepositioned Stocks-2, known as APS-2, in Germany. Takacs is an experienced technician from USAMMA’s Medical Maintenance Operations Division in Tobyhanna, Pennsylvania, who has gone TDY on many occasions to support medical readiness over his 19 years of federal civilian service, including to many sites outside of the continental U.S.
